- I took up cycling as a means of overcoming the limitations imposed by cancer and a Tracheostomy; and discovered new worlds and adventures. I need the exercise, but I ride for the sheer joy of it. Not in a hurry, nothing to prove, no deadlines, not a race, don't have to wear special clothes. Now I am sometimes known as The Trike Animal. EQUIPMENT: I ride a Adult 24" Trike manufactured in China, bought in Canada and modified in Golden Colorado by Yeti Cycles to give it 18 speeds and to give it the strength to withstand my 250 pounds. A Garmin Edge 205 GPS tracks my rides, Sporttrack software manages my data, and Topeak lighting (front and rear) light my way at night. I am also on Twitter as the "TrikeAnimal".
